How to grow your Instagram followers for your business in 7 easy steps.

Social media can be an amazing business tool, think of it like an extension of your website where you can advertise yourself and your services to your ideal client, and you get to deepen connections with them as you do. And the more connections we make with our ideal clients the more we can grow our business sales.

I love social media, I love building a community where we can chat and support each other. But I know not everyone is the same! So I wanted to simplify the process for you as much possible.

I grew my Mum account from 0 - 10,000 followers in less than a year before continuing to grow and monetise it. I then spent two months growing my coaching business page before selling on it and generating over $5k in my first ever month in business! It's through that same page I have now built my business up to 6-figure months!

From a personal point of view the more followers I have the more connections with people I have.

From a business point of view, the more followers I have, the more people I can help!

Step 1: Optimise your bio

The first thing people see when they land on your page is your bio, make sure it's clear and enticing.

Have a clear professional profile picture.

Have your name set up for SEO.

Cover in your bio - what you do and what you can help your followers with.

Have an easy to remember Instagram handle.

Step 2: Brand

Have brand colours and fonts and if you use filters try and stick to one filter. This will allow your page to feel "familiar" to your followers.

Step 3: Provide Value in Content

You want to be a resource for people, this way they will watch out for your posts, save your content to come back to and are far more likely to buy your paid offers.

You want around 90% of your feed to be "value" posts.

Step 4: Engage

It's called "social" media for a reason! Take time to engage and connect with people on there.

Step 5: Try Something New

Push yourself, go live, make a reel, pop on your stores more. The more you try the more you can see what works best for both you and your audience.

Step 6: Plan

Have a strategy in place! Make sure the content you are posting is related to what you are promoting at that time, planning and scheduling ahead can help with this.

Step 7: Have Fun!!

You'll never stay consistent if you don't enjoy it! Make it fun and light, your audience will be drawn to THAT energy.
